Basically, this watch is capable of offering all of the basic smartwatch functionality in combination with fitness tracking and personally, we feel this was a smart move the company made.
When you first look at the Blaze, you’re probably going to fall in love and it is definitely something a tech lover/fitness enthusiast is going to enjoy. Once it has been wrapped around their wrists, they’re going to fall deeper in love with it, because this watch right here has it all.
Along with being able to track activities, heart rate, and exercises, this watch contains a nice color touch screen that can display notifications from a smartphone as well as workout guidance.
Battery Life
The battery life is certainly not something you’re going to have a problem with. On a single charge, this watch can last for a total of five days, which is really good.
Design
The Fitbit Blaze looks a bit like an Apple Watch with its Gorilla-Glass covered touch screen. However, in all actuality, it’s nothing like an Apple Watch. The screen of the Blaze is 1.25 inches and has 2 gaps between the screen and an interesting octagonal frame.
In terms of the design, there’s no complaints – it’s a nice looking modular design. The tracker portion can easily pop in and out of the frame that is attached to the watch band. With this design, you will be able to switch from a leather link band to a workout-friendly strap that is sweat-resistant.
The frame only weighs in at 1.44 ounces and this includes the band, so the individual that is wearing it probably won’t even notice it on their wrist.
On the frame itself, there’s three buttons – there’s two on the right side and one on the left side.

At the time of writing this review, on Amazon, there were a total of 7,398 reviewers giving this product a total of 4.0 stars out of a possible 5.0 stars. Looking through the reviews, as you could imagine, we found a lot of positives – many people love the nice gorilla glass screen because it isn’t prone to scratches and they say the screen is large and easy to read. They also appreciate the accurate heart rate monitor and love the fact that they don’t need to wear a chest strap. Of course, there are some that just don’t seem to like the watch – the don’t like how there’s no built in GPS and it’s not water resistant, which is perfectly understandable.

All in all, we believe the FitBit Blaze Smart Fitness Watch would make a great Christmas present for that fitness enthusiast in your life. It’s not waterproof, but this isn’t the type of watch we’d want to take swimming with us anyways – it’s like complaining about a cell phone not being waterproof. It does everything you would expect and the fact that the battery can last up to 5 days on a single charge is amazing.
